Who is this for?

This Privacy Notice is for:

• on-air talent providing contributions to us (such as actors, musicians, presenters, writers and composers), and

• other contributors providing contributions to us (such as interviewees or those providing material like photos or the use of their property as a filming location).

Your personal data

As a contributor you provide information about yourself. This is called “personal data”.

You provide personal data as part of your contribution. This could be your image, voice, photos of yourself, views of your property and other information contained in your contribution that identifies you.

You also provide personal data in the talent contract, consent form and correspondence with the Third Street Studios Ltd. concerning your contribution, including (where relevant):

If you have a talent contract or complete a consent form, you may also have provided us with other types of personal data, including:

Mobile phone number

Date of birth

Gender

Residence status

Nationality

Financial details including bank account information

How we use your personal data

Third Street Studios Ltd. is the “data controller” and decides how your personal data is used. This is called “processing data”.

 The data controller is required to have a legal basis to process personal data. We are processing your personal data for:

 

our legitimate interest in the publication of your contribution as journalistic, artistic or literary material which we believe is in the public interest, and

the performance of the contract and relationship between you and us, including rights management, making payments and other purposes for the exploitation of your contribution and for which your personal data may be shared with third parties including a commissioning party, Soundmouse, IBM and any union/union nominated distribution agent.

 

Your personal data will otherwise only be shared within the Third Street Studios Ltd. group and shared with public authorities to enable us to fulfil our statutory, regulatory and compliance obligations. Your personal data will not be passed to any other third party without your consent unless we are required to do so by law.

We intend to retain your contribution in perpetuity. We will retain your talent contract, consent form and personal data concerning your contribution for the duration of copyright in your contribution.

We protect your personal data in many different ways, including staff training, technology and handling and storing procedures.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you certain rights in relation to your personal data.

You can request from us access, rectification and erasure of your personal data or restriction on its processing and you can object to processing. Rectification means correcting errors in your personal data.

You are entitled to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) about how the Third Street Studios Ltd. uses your personal data or how the Third Street Studios Ltd. deals with any complaints.

If your request is about your contribution itself, we will consider the impact of your request on:

our publication of your contribution as journalistic, artistic or literary material in the public interest, and

the performance of the contract between you and us.
